HOW TO: Style your mom jeans outfits

We love denim for summer. And there’s nothing more American than a good pair of jeans — Especially for the 4th of July. See if any of these fit ideas strike your fancy...

Grab a white t-shirt, mom jeans and thin, strappy flip flops. The inspo behind this look is the classic feel Sofia Richie goes for these days. We love the easy neutrals together.

The next look is more of a monochromatic approach. Grab a denim top, your mom jeans and white tenni’s.

Don’t be afraid to wear clunky, athletic tennis shoes either. Whatever white tenni’s you have will do the trick.

Believe it or not, people are buying shoes that look distressed, so if yours are a little dirty, they’re perfect. Adidas, New Balances, Hokas, Vans, Keds, etc. They’re all great options for your 4th look.

Hear us out on this one.

We’re taking a spin on mom jeans and entering the dad jeans department. Does your husband, boyfriend, brother or friend have a pair of baggy jeans? If so, wear those. You can pair them with a fitted t-shirt, baggy t-shirt or tank. The baggy pant is the main character of this outfit, so whatever you put on top seems to just magically go. It’s beautiful.

For your shoes, grab a pair of flats (They’re back in. Can we believe it?) or chunky tennis shoes. You will be the hottest girly at the bbq this year.

The outfit with the hat.

Grab a baseball hat, a men’s button up, your mom jeans and a feminine pair of sandals. A low block heel or around-the-ankle-strappy sandal would work perfectly. Playing with silhouettes is the best way to look cool and feel comfortable for a full day of celebrating.
